Stephanie K Reese

Miss Stephanie began dance school at the age of five in Beaumont, Texas at The Bonnie Cokinos School of Dance. She studied Jazz under Joe Istre and Kelley Barkley, Who are now living, teaching and dancing in New York City. Joe is a Master Instructor in Jazz and Lyrical and teaches all over the world and Kelley is presently the Assistant Choreographer as well as dancing in “42nd Street” on Broadway.

While Miss Stephanie was under their instruction she won the “Young American National Dance Competition” covering all fifty states in Ballet, Jazz and Tap.

Miss Stephanie studied Ballet with Miss Mary Robertson from the Royal Academy of Dance, Scotland and South Africa and Kim Tooman of the Nederlands Ballet. She also studied with such Master Instructors as, David Howard, Patsy Swayze, Cynthia Gregory and her personal favorite Michael Vernon.

She appeared in many Ballet performances with Beaumont Ballet Theatre and Civic Ballet including “Cinderella”, ”The Nutcracker”, “Graduation Ball” and “The King and I”.

Miss Stephanie moved to Steamboat in 1991 where she attended CMC and earned her degree in Resort Management/Business. She started her teaching career at Perry-Mansfield in 1997 when she decided that she loved teaching. During her time at PM she decided that North West Colorado needed better dance instruction, set more to a world standard. She opened her Steamboat Ballet in 1999, and has recruited the best teachers.
