Dr. Lisa A Harner
Lisa works locally as a family physician and is also a member of the Performing Arts and Medicine Association, the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science. Prior to medical school, she obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance from the University of Texas at Austin and subsequently trained, taught and performed with the Zohar Dance Company in Palo Alto, California. With the love and support of her husband, Warren and their children, Renny and Erin, Lisa eventually decided to pursue a degree in medicine at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, successfully completing medical school and residency in 1995. A career move to Limon, Colorado to work with the National Health Service Corps provided her family with the chance discovery of Steamboat Springs which they have been pleased to call home since 1999.
Since relocating to Steamboat Springs, Lisa has enjoyed the opportunity to return to the dance world following a 16-year hiatus. She has performed annually since 2001 with the Steamboat Dance Theater. Since 1999 she has been involved with Steamboat Ballet School of Dance as a parent, performer, choreographer and stagehand.
