Karin Comeau
Karin received her early dance training at the Dance Arts Academy in Fort Collins, Colorado. Her High School drama teacher and mentor taught her the "art of teaching". At the age of sixteen she taught her first class and discovered the "magic" of teaching children to dance. Karin was awarded a Creative and Performing Arts Scholarship from Colorado State University and earned a double major in Physical Education and Dance. After moving to Steamboat she founded Rocky Mountain Dance, providing dance programs in Hayden, Craig, and Steamboat. Each summer she continues her own education by attending classes at Perry/Mansfield Performing Arts School. Her choreography and teaching methods are used by several of the dance studios in Denver. Karin is married to "Buddy Brush" a.k.a., Dr. Curt Comeau, and has two children, Kelsey 16 and Cameron 12. In her non dance hours Karin enjoys skiing, boating and gardening.
In 2002 Karin joined Stephanie Reese at Steamboat Ballet School of Dance. After teaching solo for 25 years, it is wonderful to be part of such an exciting and professional studio.
